Nike&Atlético Mineiro - A sponsor blunder turned into an announcement opportunity.
The biggest billboard ever in the team's home city, reminding everyone who the biggest is.
In 2023, while sponsoring the two main teams from Minas Gerais, one of Brazilian Football's biggest rivalries, Adidas wrongly claimed Clube Atlético Mineiro was the biggest. In 2025, Nike seized the opportunity to partner with Atletico by using a 15-meter billboard to announce its new sponsorship, in an unapologetic statement that took over the city, leaving Adidas and Cruzeiro as Minas’ second-largest club and brand sponsor.
